Past highlights:

Abdul Wardak was co-owner of Dara Tribal Village, an ethnic gallery in Chicago.  The gallery received quite a bit of attention during its five year presence, including a wonderful interview on NPR.  The gallery opened in January 2001 and after September 11th, Abdul spent several months in Afghanistan helping with reconstruction efforts.  His former partner now lives in Kentucky and both are continuing to build the same community spirit through different online ventures.
